The Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) course for B737-800 is a great opportunity for pilots without MCC training or for pilots who feel they would benefit from an MCC refresher course due to low experience or lack of current flight time.

CAE is proud to offer an airline approved MCC course on the B737-800. It is an intensive course that includes four days of ground school and five full-flight simulator (FFS) sessions on the B737-800.

The MCC course is based on Ryanair and Boeing Operating Procedures, which are recognized by a variety of airlines, and is therefore solid preparatory training for any Commercial Airline or CAE Type-Rating programs, which you might choose to apply to upon successful completion of your MCC course.

Entry Requirements

Applicant should:
  • Have a valid multi-engine instrument rating;
  • Have a flight crew license (theoretical ATPL with valid JAA or EASA CPL);
  • Have a valid JAA or EASA -FCL 3 Class 1 Medical;
  • Demonstrate competence in the English Language (ICAO 4).

    The Course

    The MCC course is conducted at our training centers in Amsterdam and Brussels training, and consists of a B737-800 technical course, MCC theory and five simulator sessions on the B737-800 FFS.

    Upon successful completion of the course, a JAA or EASA approved MCC certificate will be provided to you.

    Your performance during the MCC course will be carefully evaluated. Suitable candidates may then be recommended for specific Type-Rating Programs conducted by CAE.

    Regarding an application to Ryanair, “the airline” will select suitable candidates, and conduct an assessment day themselves.

    This MCC course provides a good base for a prospective assessment day, but you should be aware that attending this MCC course does not guarantee an invitation to the airline’s assessment day - selection is at the discretion of the airline.

    If you would like to apply to the airlines which CAE are involved with following your MCC course, please apply by registering for the programs detailed on the CAE website: https://pilot.cae.com
